For anyone interested the Orlando International Builders' Show starts Feb. 7-10. I found where you can request free 4-day passes. These passes are for the exhibit floor only, but let's face it, that is what we want to go for anyway.

Has anyone found a link for passes to the next Builder's Show? Once again, I offer $50 (or a pair of shoes) for a good link for me to sign up my family...

Registration is open for the Builders' Show in Orlando. I've been attending it for several years, in various locations. It is apparently alternating between Orlando and Vegas.

I checked their website buildersshow.com; the VIP link hasn't been activated up yet. I will be keeping an eye on it and will notify the forum.

In July, plan on attending the Southeast Building Conference in Orlando. Their website is sebcshow.com. Check out their website. At the upper right, click on the "View Exhibitors" for a list of which companies will be at the show. It's not nearly as large as the IBS, but you will be dealing with mostly "local" companies.

You can register online for a free three-day pass to the exhibit hall. Although the SEBC is limited to the "building professional", you should be able to register anyway. On the left side of the webpage, click on the "SEBC Registration", then click the "Online Registration". It will ask for your name, etc. When you get to the "Company" line, leave it blank. When you get to the page named "Show Questions", choose "Associate", then below that for Local Association Name, choose "Non-member". Then, when you get to the page named "Registration Type" choose "SO Trade Show Only". It's FREE. You will have to pick up your badges on site. It costs $10 to park. If you leave and come back, it will cost you another $10.

I hope many of you O-B's will be able to attend.

Scott

I wish I were going to be in the area. I'm out of town for another few days, or I'd go. Local companies would be great!! Much easier to hand them a set of plans and get bids, since they are the people who will do the work or close.

This year's IBS was SUPPOSED to be in Las Vegas, but for some reason they changed it to Orlando again. I was really happy to find out. At the end of last years' show there were signs saying "see you in Las Vegas next year" and such.

I am new to this site. I registered my husband and me today, and we will be there Saturday. It is always nice to see what is out there. I missed out in February, but will be there next year. Thanks for the great tip! I hope to get info on the various choices of ICF, CMU, etc. while we are there. Still not sure what method to use, and how much of a difference it will make from an insulation standpoint. I am however, 1,500 feet on either side of the ocean and intracoastal, so structural integrity is more what I am interested in.
