Spent the whole day working on ripping out the laminate in the apartment utility room and putting in tile.

Since I had a huge pile of it sitting in the garage I went with a type called Castle Stone, which we used heavily in the main house. I honestly would have preferred to use the same type of tile that was used in the apartment bathroom, but as it turned out that was some of the surplus tile Colleen and I bought from Builder Dale a while back, and there just wasn't enough left over to do the utility room. But that's okay--the Castle Stone is a very nice tile and since it varies quite a bit, I was able to rummage through several boxes and pull out mostly "darker" pieces (which my mother prefers).
Most of today was the easy, large stuff in the middle--no cuts, just spacing and pasting. I got the basic run "across" the room from garage door to apartment door done, and in the next few days I'll start working on the bits around the edges. Those will mean cuts, so THAT will be TONS of fun (is there a sarcasm flag on the editing bar? no? dang!).
Of course more miscellaneous boxes (mostly computer room stuff) came with me and were duly stacked before I set to the tile work. It never seems to end, but it must at some point, since the house is looking pretty danged empty these days...
Time to start thinking about when The Move is going to happen too. I'd like to get it done soon, maybe in the next couple of weeks. Hmmm.....
