And that's not an April Fools joke. Five inches last night, more predicted for today, and that's on top of the four inches we got earlier this week. When I read posts on gardens up and growing, I have to laugh. Austin/McDade blogger may laugh too!
Got the surveyor to stake out the boundaries in the area we are building on. Saw that there is plenty of room for the septic in the easement that we gave to the resort back in 2008.
Got the code books I ordered and was set to head to Santa Fe to take the electrical exam but with the snow, I'll hold off till next week.
Second excavator came out to look at the project. Will get back next week with a quote. I want to wrap that up and make a decision early next week.
Biggest thing is that the draftsman got us another set of floor plans on Monday, we talked and the final revision came back yesterday. He is now set to move forward with the construction docs, elevations etc, so as long as he can stay on our job, we should have things wrapped up in a couple of weeks. He is fast and efficient, just has several jobs going. Hopefully he can stay on ours now as he knows we want to break ground as soon as possible.
We next need to talk to an engineer, now that the floor plans (and thus final perimeters are done) and get revised foundation design. Unfortunately our original engineer died in 2014. The draftsman has one he uses that we'll make contact with.
