Lots of work, no post

I haven't had time to post much of anything, but we are starting framing on Wednesday.  The footing/foundation guys came in last week and the basement and garage slab were poured today.  A full story and pictures can be seen at costinconstruction.blogspot.com.

Finally, a beginning

So I've been reading around the site for quite a while now, and we are finally ready to go. 

We've had our plans finalized for a few months now and have sold our previous home.  We just closed on our construction loan today and will start excavating towards the end of the week.  We got our loan through a local credit union as owner-builders, although we will only be doing the paint, tile and finish carpentry ourselves.

Pictures to come once we get digging.
