This is my first blog ever.  I have just discovered this site and fell in love with it.  My husband and I have been planning to built our dream home for the past 12 years.  The time has come to get started.  Actually I have already started; my closets and our barns are full of building supplies and all of my lighting.  I am a light freak.  Most women buy shoes - I buy lights.  My latest find was at a Quoizel Warehouse sale.  I hit the jackpot.  I saved at least $30,000 on lighting.   This was not the first sale I have hit in the past 5 years.  I have ultimately designed my house around the very first light I bought years ago.  Yes, it is in the barn.  I was fortunate enough to find my floor plans on line to suit what I wanted. That was a big savings.  The company I ordered them from had not updated the price in a few years so they had to sell them to me for the price that was listed.  That was another big savings.  We bought the property that we are building on about 12 years ago.  14.4 acres.  The place was a wreck.  Everything had been grown up for about 15 years.  We have just gotten to the point that we can start making things look the way we want.  So that is a long story made short.  There is so much more I could tell you, but don't want to bore you with the details.  We are excited about starting the building process and having this resource will be very helpful.  I added a few pictures of the lighting I purchased.
